Lori Wilson just did an interview with Kristian Alfonso (Hope), and Kristian shared a few teasers with her! "Hope may be offered a higher position." (Editor's Note: I know more but am sworn to secrecy by the show!!) When discussing the fallout of Bo suppressing evidence for Philip, she said, "I think Hope makes an arrest soon." Monday August 25: Daniel and Kate get close, while Kate rants about her part in Philgate, the cover up! Chelsea notices. Caroline lets Victor have it, about his part in Philgate! He's not welcomed in the Brady Pub. Ol Victor feels bad and apologizes to Bo for all of this. Bo and Hope beg Roman for time to solve the Hollingsworth mystery. He gives them 48 hours to find out if Hollingsworth is dead or alive. Trent meets with Nicole and says he feels bad when she's unhappy. She tells him to go to hell! She laughs when she finds out that Mel has maxed out his credit card and calls Melanie a girl after her own heart! Max and Stephanie are stuck in jail, still. Melanie sure doesn't care to help. Nick finds Melanie, in Paris. They have an instant connection. Only because Nick lies about being a millionaire! He takes her to the jail to see her brother. Tuesday August 26: (It's a Jarlena day) John tells Marlena he realized how much he cares for her. He decided if she got better, things would be different! "I know that what you did to Stefano is because of what he did to me!" John asks Marlena to come home with him when she is released from the hospital. She refuses him. Marlena tells John that he's not the man she married and he never will be. They barely even know each other! Then Roman shows up and she's happy to see him. Uh oh. John's not happy! Philip runs into Morgan, who says she thought he really cared for him. She wants to know how he killed her father! Chelsea takes the key to Daniel's place and plans a romantic night, but before she and Daniel get anywhere, a text message changes things! Chelsea finds out about Kate and Daniel. AMC Rant Week of November 16 - 20: The news is good for All My Children this week - Head Writer Chuck Pratt has been let go, which hopefully means there will be an end to the inane stories and character assassination we've been enduring. Of course, there will still be another good month or two of his storylines to play out, as AMC tapes well ahead. So hope is probably lost for the likes of Aidan Devane, and the characters returning for the 40th Anniversary, but hopefully things will improve after that. Let's look at this past week's developments and happenings on the show: A Grunting Thug: Zach has been reduced to nothing more than a one-note bully - so disappointing, and such a misuse of a talented actor. Zach's sensitivity has always countered the macho side of his personality, and that's been lost. Kendall continues to be a whiny idiot, and Aidan has had a full-on personality transplant that is nothing less than an insult to those who have been fans of this character for years. Amanda's Conscience: A little late for her conscience to kick-in - after she has sex with a man other than her husband. I hate to see women depicted in this manner, and the scenes with David and Jake baiting one another have just become a ridiculous, repetitive bore. Jake's remarks make him seem like someone barely out of their late teens, and David's smarmy, gloating condescension is tiresome. I was truly interested to see where this threesome would go after the big reveal that David's son was alive, but it's just fallen flat. Kicked to the Curb: The one entertaining aspect of this past week has been the performances of David Canary as the beleaguered Adam Chandler. He has made the most of the material provided to him. It was a truly satisfying scene when Adam kicked conniving Annie and wishy-washy Scott to the curb! That said, it still left me wishing I could understand where Annie and Scott have been coming from all these months. The character-development has been such that their true motivations and feelings have failed to come to light - therefore it's nearly impossible to engage with the characters emotionally - which is necessary in order to feel something about the story one way or another.

In 1990, Don Diamont (Bill, B&B) was the first soap opera actor to be included in People's "50 Most Beautiful" issue. Nineteen years later, the magazine has recognized him again. Johnny Depp may have been chosen as the "Sexiest Man Alive" by People this year, but they didn't overlook Diamont, as they dubbed him: "Sexiest Soap Veteran." Don was quoted in the issue as saying, "Not a day goes by that I don't look at my wife, Cindy, as though it were the first time I laid eyes on her. Peter Parros (Dr. Ben Harris) recently made a brief return appearance to As The World Turns but he's been keeping himself busy with other projects the rest of the time. The actor began his own production company called Ten Talents Productions, which seeks to 'create quality Godly entertainment options for your family'. The first thing they will be releasing is a 30 minute DVD called, "Kidz Of The King Adventures." It's based on a comic book series about ten angels disguised as teenage super heroes. Tracey Bregman, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin on The Young and the Restless will be making a two-day appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful January 19-20. Hal Linden will play the role of Jarry Kramer, an aquaintance of Jackie's, for a short time starting December 19th. Ben Hogestyn's character Harry has been dropped to recurring status. Alley Mills will appear as Stephanie's sister, Pam Douglas starting December 1 for a 9 episode run. Alley is best known for her role as Kevin's mother on The Wonder Years. Kevin Dobson and Debbi Morgan will both appear November 14, 17 and 20. Dobson will play the Judge Devin Owens , who presides over Taylor's trial, and Morgan will play Jennifer Tartaro, the opposing counsel.

He'll make his final appearance in Lulu's mind on September 2. *Darlene Vogel will be playing Ric's lover on August 26. *On August 12 Annie M. Fitzgerald (Yvette, GH: NS) crossed over for a medical storyline. *Sandra Hess is the actress who plays Karpov's attorney Sasha. She will be on screen the week of August 18. *Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing) has a two-week vacation to NYC and the Bahamas. On screen, his character will be taking Molly on a trip. *Dr. Russell Ford (Richard Gant) has died on GH: Night Shift. He will be appearing on GH in flashbacks, however. *Vanessa Marcil (Brenda) update: Bob Guza clarifies that GH is "pursuing" Vanessa to return to GH, but thus far it's not a done deal. He says that he can put her back on the show asap as soon as she indicates that she's ready. He has her storyline ready and waiting for her, in fact. *Kristin Herrera (Lourdes) and Rolando Molina (Sal) were introduced on July 23rd (in recurring roles relating to Johnny's story line.) Herrera has been on Zoey 101, Without A Trace and ER. Molina will appear in a yet-to-be released drama movie called "Skinned". *Ilia Volok has accepted a recurring role as a Russian mobster named Karpov who first appeared on July 18th. *Rick Springfield returned to General Hospital for three months on July 8. *Dominic Rains (Dr. Leo Julian) has left the show to explore other options. She will play Farah, Leyla's mother and her first air date was June 9. *Tony Geary (Luke) will return from his annual vacation in mid-September.
