Despite internet rumors, Soaps.com has learned that NBC has picked up Days of Our Lives for the the 2010 and 2011 season. It's celebrating 43 years on the air this year. If some parameters are met, it's possible that another year could be added to the 18 month renewal.

TV Guide is reporting that Charles Shaughnessy will return to Days of Our Lives in his role as ISA agent Shane Donovan. He hasn't been to the show since 2002.
